Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A police source revealed that a civilian was killed in an armed attack, south of the capital, Baghdad, Alsumaria News reported on Saturday.

The source said, “Unidentified gunmen open fired toward a vehicle, this evening, while passing in Quirich area, south of Baghdad, killing its driver on the spot.”

“Security forces arrived in the area of incident and opened an investigation into its circumstances, while ambulances transferred the body to the forensic medicine department,” the source added on condition of anonymity.

Earlier today, a body belonging to a member of al-Hashd al-Shaabi was found on a roadside in al-Falahat area, north of Baghdad.
