Armed attack on northern Baghdad, one killed

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) An official source informed, on Friday, that a civilian was killed in an armed attack by anonymous gunmen, in northern the capital, Baghdad.
The source told Alsumaria News that unknown gunmen shot a civilian, while he was passing in al-Basatin neighborhood, in al-Shaab area, in northern Baghdad, killing him immediately.
The source, who asked to be anonymous, added that security forces cordoned off the area of the incident, and transferred the body to the forensic medicine department, while carried out an operation to search for the perpetrators of the incident.
It is noteworthy that the capital, Baghdad, is witnessing frequent blasts using booby-trapped vehicles, IEDs and explosive belts, in addition to separate attacks on civilians and security forces, which results in the fall of dozens of casualties.
