Arms cache found, armed network nabbed near Talafar

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi army force on Monday discovered a weapons cache and arrested an armed group near Talafar district, west of Mosul city, according to an informed source. “A cache containing arms and ammunition was found in light of intelligence tips in Abi Mariya village, north of Talafar (60 km northwest of Mosul),” an Iraqi army source told Iraqi News. “The cache contained 82mm mortars, 42 mortar shells, weapons, etc,” the source explained. “A 10-member network was arrested near the cache,” the source noted, adding that an investigation is currently underway.
