Army aviation destroys car bomb west of Anbar

Anbar (IraqiNews) Leader of al-Hashd al-Shaabi in Anbar Province, Qatari al-Obeidi, announced on Sunday, that Iraqi Army Aviation bombarded a booby-trapped vehicles and killed its occupants, west of Anbar.

Obeidi said in a press statement, “Security forces from Jazeera Forces Command, backed by al-Hashd al-Shaabi, aerially monitored the area of Wady Huran, west of Baghdadi area in Heet, west of Anbar.”

The forces managed to bombard a booby-trapped vehicle, destroying it and killing its occupants, the statement added.

The statement further added, “Security forces have tightened their security measures in all areas of the western sector of the province to prevent any security breach,” pointing out that “The army aviation has intensified its raids over the desert areas to thwart any attempt to attack the military troops.”

Obeidi also said that shelling the whereabouts of the Islamic State terrorists was carried out based on intelligence information that enabled the army aviation to target it directly.
