(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Deputy Head of the security committee in Baghdad Provincial Council Mohamed al-Robaei said that the commander of Baghdad Operations Command issued orders to imprison the commander of Karrada regiment and expelled six other officers in the wake of the bombing that targeted Karrada in central Baghdad on Sunday.

Robaei, in a press statement, said, “The commander of Baghdad Operations Major General Abdel Amir al-Shimari issued a decree to imprison the commander of al-Karrada regiment and expelled six other officers on the wake of the bombing that targeted Karrada in central Baghdad on Sunday.”

Robaei added, “The officers who were expelled included the director of al-Karrada rescue service, director of Karrada, Karrada Police Chief and the Head of intelligence in Karrada.”
