Baghdad bombing: Scores of people dead, dozens injured

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Rusafa Health Directorate on Sunday confirmed over 200 casualties after an ISIS bomb explosion in central Baghdad’s Karrada area. It further informed that 50 bodies were burned beyond recognition.
General Manager of Rusafa Health Directorate Abdel Ghani Saadon, while issuing a statement to the media, said, “The hospitals of al-Kandi, al-Sadr and Sheikh Zayed received 138 wounded and 70 dead bodies of al-Karrada bombing,” adding, “50 bodies were burned beyond recognition.”
Saadon added, “Samples of the charred bodies were sent to the forensic department for carrying out DNA tests so that they could be identified.”
