Blast kills IS explosives expert east of Salahuddin

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) A local source in Salahuddin Province informed that a blast killed an explosives expert belonging to the Islamic State group, east of the province, Alsumaria News reported on Saturday.

The source said, “A blast took place inside a workshop for the manufacture of explosive devices belonging to the Islamic State on the outskirts of the area of Mutaibaja, east of Salahuddin, killing the so-called IS Engineer of Mutaibaja Abu Jaber, along with three of his aides.”

“The killed IS member was one of the explosives experts in the extremist group,” the source added on condition of anonymity.

The area of Mutaibaja is one of the unstable areas, due to the presence of extremist cells belonging to the Islamic State group.
