 Blast north of Baghdad kills 11, ISIS link suspected

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad- A security source in Baghdad informed on Tuesday that a car bomb attack at a market north of Baghdad killed eleven (11) people, apart from injuring a dozen others.

Sharing details about the blast, the source informed, “A pickup truck, which was packed with explosives, go off today morning at a vegetable and fruit market in al-Rashidiya in north of Baghdad, killing at least 11 and injuring as may as 32 civilians.”

“By the look of events, initially we suspect this to be the handiwork of ISIS, but so far no group has taken responsibility of the attack,” the source added.

Meanwhile, sharing details about blast, local authorities have informed that the blast damaged a lot of nearby buildings and vehicles.

It may be mentioned here that a powerful suicide blast ripped apart Baghdad’s Karrada area a couple of weeks back, which not only killed 292 people but also injured a dozen others.
