Bomb blast in eastern Baghdad, nine casualties

( Baghdad – A source in the Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday, that a blast in eastern Baghdad earlier on the day left with nine (9) casualties.

According to information shared by the source, which was also collected by Iraqi News, it was said, “This evening, a bomb exploded near shops in al-Baladiyat area in eastern Baghdad, killing one person and injuring eight others.”

The information added, “Ambulances rushed to the area of incident and evacuated the injured to a nearby hospital and the body of the deceased was sent to the forensic medicine department. Security forces cordoned off the area and barred any approach towards it.”
