Bomb blast kills, wounds 9 people in western Baghdad

( Baghdad – A source the Ministry of Interior revealed on Tuesday, that nine people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast in western Baghdad.

The source said in a statement obtained by, “This evening, a bomb exploded near al-Daght street in Ghazaliya District in western Baghdad, killing one person and wounding eight others.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added, “Ambulances rushed to the area and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the dead body to the forensic medicine department, while a security force cordoned off the area and prevented approaching it.”
