Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Two Iraqi children were killed Tuesday in a bomb blast in southern Diyala province, a security source was quoted as saying.

“An explosive charge went off Tuesday afternoon in al-Tarfaya village, 35 km south of Baqubah, leaving two children dead,” the source told Baghdad Today website.

“The two bodies were moved to the forensic medicine department,” added the source.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Islamic State (IS) militant group, in most cases, is responsible for attacks targeting crowded areas, including markets, cafes and mosques across Iraq.
