Bomb blast kills volunteer soldier in Taza Khurmatu south of Kirkuk

( Kirkuk – A security source in Kirkuk province said on Thursday, that an element of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi militia had been killed in a bomb blast that took place south of the province.

The source, said in a statement received by, “This evening, an explosive device that was emplaced on the road side between the village of Albu Mafraj and Qasba-Bashir [area] in the district of Taza Khurmatu (20 km south of Kirkuk) went off while one of the elements of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi was passing in the [area], resulting in his immediate death,” adding that, “”A security force transferred the body to the forensic medicine authority.”
