Bomb blast kills, wounds 9 people northeast of Baghdad

( Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Saturday, that nine people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast northeast of Baghdad.

The source said in a statement followed by, “This morning, a bomb exploded in al-Shaab District northeast of Baghdad, killing one person and wounding eight others.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added, “A security force rushed to the area and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital to receive treatment and the dead body to the forensic medicine department.”
