Bomb blast wounds 2 policemen in northern Baghdad

( Baghdad – On Tuesday, a source in the Iraqi police said, that two policemen have been injured in a bomb blast that took place in northern Baghdad.

The source said in a statement received by, “This afternoon, an explosive device that was planted on the road side in the district of al-Tajy in northern Baghdad has went off while a vehicle for the federal police was passing in the area,” noting that, “The blast resulted in wounding two policemen.”

The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, “A security force rushed to the area of the incident, while the injured were transferred to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.”
