Bomb blast wounds 27 elements of the security forces west of Samarra

(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – A security source in Salahuddin said Thursday, that 27 element of the security forces and al-Hashed al-Sha’bi were injured in a bomb blast west of Samarra.

The source, who requested anonymity, informed IraqiNews.com, “A suicide bomber driving a booby-trapped tank tried to get close to the security forces and al-Hashed al-Sha’bi in the area of al-Hawish west of Samarra, leading the security forces to target him, however, the explosion of the tank resulted in the injury of 27 elements of the security forces and al-Hashed al-Sha’bi.”

“The security forces have cordoned off the area of the incident, while the injured soldiers were taken to the nearest hospital to receive the medical treatment,” the source also added.

  1. They needed to use one of the thousands of AT4 anti-tank rockets that the US gave to Iraq as they can stop these sorts of tanks well before they get close to them. Why did they not have and use these anti-tank rockets as Iraq was given thousands of them.
