Bomb blast wounds civilian northeast of Baqubah

( Diyala – A security source in Diyala Province revealed on Tuesday, that a civilian was wounded in the explosion of an improvised explosive device northeast of Baqubah.

The source said in a statement obtained by, “Today, an improvised explosive device emplaced on the road side in Abu Khanazir village (28 km northeast of Baqubah) exploded on a civilian vehicle, while passing in the village, wounding its driver with serious injuries.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added, “The security forces cordoned off the area and opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.”
