(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday that one (1) al-Hashd al-Shaabi member was killed, while four (4) others were injured when an improvised explosive device exploded southwest of Baghdad.

Sharing more about the incident the source said, “This morning an improvised explosive device exploded southwest of Baghdad. The explosion was triggered targeting a patrol of al-Hashd al-Shaabi while it was passing through al-Radwaniyah (southwest of Baghdad). The blast was powerful enough to kill one member on the spot and injuring four others.”

Adding further the source informed, “Security forces rushed to the blast area and transferred the injured to a nearby hospital. The body of the deceased was sent for forensic examination.”
