Urgent – Sadrist MP’s guards clash with FPS elements in Wasit

Wassit (IraqiNews.com) Three among the Facilities Protection Services elements who are tasked to protect al-Hay Hospital were injured due to a clash with the guards of the Sadrist MP, Abdul Ameer al-Mayahi, on Tuesday.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com “Mayahi went inside the hospital to visit a patient who is among his relatives,” noting that “The FPS elements prevented Mayahi’s guards from taking their weapons with them inside the hospital.”

“Mayahi’s guards refused the FPS elements request and had heated debate with the FPS that led to gunfire among them,” the source added.

“The injured FPS elements were sent to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
