Canadian Defense Minister arrives in Khazar to oversee military operations

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – On Monday, Canadian Minister of Defense Harjit Sajjan arrived in Khazar axis east of Nineveh Province to oversee the nature of the military operations carried out by the security forces against ISIS.
A statement received by IraqiNews.com said, “This Morning, Canadian Defense Minister Harjit Sajjan arrived in the axis of Khazar (40 km east of Mosul) to oversee the nature of the military operations carried out by the security forces, especially after the recent attacks by ISIS on this axis.”
The statement added, “The Canadian Defense Minister was received by a number of Peshmerga leaders in central Khazar, including the Minister of Peshmerga Affairs,” noting that, “The purpose of the visit is to confirm the sustainability of the military aid to the Peshmerga forces.”
