Car bomb goes off southern Mosul

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Six people were killed and injured when a car bomb exploded southern Mosul.Security source reported to IraqiNews.com on Monday ”The car bomb, which was driven by a suicide bomber, exploded targeting a security check point for the federal police at the entrance of Baghdad-Mosul road of southern Mosul.””The explosion resulted in killing a police element and injuring five people among them a police officer with a Colonel rank and a civilian who were near the explosion scene,” the source added.”The security forces cordoned the explosion scene off, transporting the dead body of the victim to the morgue and the wounded people to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded. \
