(IraqiNews.com) Basra – A security source in Basra Province said on Thursday, that an exchange of fire that took place between two clans north of the province resulted in cutting the main road between Basra and Baghdad.

The source said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “A heavy exchange of fire using light and medium weapons broke out between the members of two clans in the area of Karma Ali,” noting that, “The clashes, temporarily, resulted in cutting the road between Basra and Baghdad at the area of Karma.”

“The exchange of fire is over and there are no reports of casualties,” the source added.
