Colonel assassinated in northern Baghdad, Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) An Iraqi Army officer was assassinated in Adhamiya area of northern Baghdad.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com Wednesday “Unidentified gunmen opened fire from silenced weapons targeting an Iraqi officer of Colonel rank, in Adhamiya area of northern Baghdad, killing him immediately.”

The source added “The gunmen managed to flee after the attack to unknown destination, while the security forces transported the dead body to the morgue.”
