(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Multiple blasts and an armed attack left five civilians dead and at least 21 wounded, including soldiers, in Baghdad on Sunday.

A police source also told Alsumaria News that a civilian was killed at al-Amel neighborhood when unknown assailants shot at him southwest of Baghdad. The source also revealed that two dead bodies with gunshot marks were found near al-Talbiya district, east of Baghdad.

Another source said that two other civilians were wounded in an explosion at al-Baladiyat district, east of Baghdad.

Three soldiers were also injured in a twin blast that targeted their armoured vehicle in Akrkouf, north of Baghdad.

The Interior Ministry said that two IED blasts targeted a military force in al-Taji area as well as civilian visitors on al-Shoala road, north of Baghdad, leaving only material damages.

Earlier on Sunday, Five people were wounded when an IED blast targeted a Hussianiya (A Shia congregation) at the Army Canal road, east of Baghdad. Two civilians were also killed and 12 wounded in three blasts at different locations of Baghdad.
