Dhi Qar governor announces arrest of cell belonging to Baath Party

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The governor of Dhi Qar Yahia Nasseri announced on Wednesday the arrest of a cell belonging to “Baath Party,” indicating that the cell includes 13 “terrorists.”
Nasseri said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “A cell belonging to Baath party, including 13 wanted terrorists, has been arrested in accordance with Article IV of the anti-terrorism law,” noting that, “The arrest was made in different parts of the province of Dhi Qar and based on intelligence information by the security services.”
Nasseri added that, “The judiciary has already issued memorandums against the detainees,” expressing hope that “Dhi Qar maintain its security and stability.”
