(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Wednesday, a member of the Council of Anbar Azal al-Fahdawi revealed, that dozens of families who were detained by ISIS in the center of Ramadi escaped, while asked for the protection of the security forces.

Fahdawi said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “Today, dozens of families who were detained by ISIS managed to escape and asked for the protection of the military units stationed in the eastern axis of the city,” adding that, “The escape process took places after the tangible progress made by the security forces.”

Earlier today, the Council of Anbar Province has confirmed, that the battle to liberate the city of Ramadi needs time and cannot be resolved in a couple of days, while noted that everything in the city is booby-trapped.
