Dozens of ISIS elements killed in airstrikes by Iraqi Army Aviation north of Tikrit

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A security source in Salahuddin province announced on Monday, that the Iraqi army aviation carried out six air strikes on ISIS sites north of the province, resulting in the killing of dozens of ISIS elements.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com “One of the formations of the Iraqi army aviation carried out six sorties against ISIS sites in Makhoul Mountains (70 km north of Tikrit),” adding that, “The raids resulted in the destruction a hideout and the killing of dozens of ISIS elements.”

Noteworthy, a security source in Salahuddin province reported on Thursday (15 October 2015), that the joint forces gained control of the presidential palaces in Makhoul Mountains north of Tikrit (170 km north of Baghdad).
