F16 fighter jets achieved positive results, says Defense Minister

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi announced on Sunday, that the F16 fighter jets have achieved positive results, indicating that they will affect the course of the fighting, while noted that the battle to liberate Mosul requires planning to maintain the life of citizens.

The defense minister said at a press conference in the ministry building: ” F16 fighter jets have  achieved positive results,” noting that “the number of sorties has been increased.”

Al-Obeidi added: “the targets of these aircraft were accurate,” adding that “they will impact positively on the progress of the battles.”

Concerning Nineveh operations, al-Obeidi said ” the liberation of Nineveh needs planning and accuracy because Mosul has a million and a half million citizens,” stressing the need to “preserve the lives of citizens and infrastructure during the liberalization process.”
