Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Federal Police forces managed on Saturday to repel an attack launched by the Islamic State group, using booby trapped vehicles and suicide bombers, on the front lines of the security forces in the outskirts of Dawasa area in Mosul.
Federal Police Chief, Lieutenant General Raed Shakir Jawdat, said in a press statement, “Federal Police forces repulsed an attack launched by the Islamic State.”
“Security forces also managed to kill 10 suicide bombers and detonate 5 booby-trapped vehicles,” Jawdat added.
Jawdat also revealed that the Islamic State is using maneuvering, explosives and suicide bombers in the attacks, however, security forces have the needed mechanisms to repulse these attacks.
