Five persons killed, wounded in bomb blast near Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A police source declared that five persons were either killed or wounded in a bomb blast, west of Baghdad, Alsumaria News reported on Sunday.
The source said, “An improvised explosive device exploded near a blacksmith workshop in Khan Dari area in Abu Gharib District, killing one person and wounding four others.”
“Security forces cordoned off the area of incident and barred approaching it, while ambulances transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital to receive needed treatment, and the body to the forensic medicine department,” the source added on condition of anonymity.
The capital, Baghdad, is witnessing a surge of violence, in addition to several attacks against civilians and security forces.
