Forces gain control over strategic road in Amiriyah

(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – A leader from Clan Albu Issa near Amiriyah Fallujah announced on Saturday that the security forces have managed to liberate the road linking Amiriyah and Fallujah Dam.
Sheikh Amer Hasnaoui al-Aifan, a tribal leader in Clan Albu Issa, while interacting with reporters said, “A detachment belonging to Army’s Eighth Division, backed by the Sixth Regiment of Albu Aifan tribe, was able to liberate the road linking Amiriyah with Fallujah Dam (south of Fallujah city).”
Aifan added, “The security forces imposed full control on the 15-kilometer-long road,” adding, “The road was used by ISIS to attack the areas near Amiriyah.”
