(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Monday, al-Jazeera and al-Badiya Operations Command announced, that fifteen (15) ISIS members were killed and two booby-trapped vehicles destroyed during the operations that took place in Heet island; further informing about seizing a cache of IEDs in one of the areas.

The commander of al-Jazeera and al-Badiya Operations Major General Qassim al-Mohamadi said, “Today the security forces carried out an extensive military operation targeting ISIS strongholds and gatherings in Heet island. In the operation fifteen (15) ISIS members were killed and two booby-trapped vehicles, which were prepared to attack the combat troops, were also destroyed.”

Mohamadi added, “The security forces also seized a cache of IEDs, two explosive belts and nine different explosive devices at al-Mashatel in Heet.”
