Diyala (IraqiNews.com) A local source in Diyala Province revealed that four mortar shells fell on an agricultural village, located on the borders between Diyala and Salahuddin, without causing any casualties, Alsumaria News reported on Wednesday.

Mayor of al-Khalis District, Odai al-Khedran, said in a press statement that four mortar shells fell, at dawn today, on the vicinity of Mubarak al-Farhan Village, located on the borders between Diyala and Salahuddin, without causing any casualties.

Furthermore, Khedran revealed that the shelling was launched by the Islamic State from al-Mutaibaija.

He also emphasized that the village is frequently attacked from Mutaibaija area, especially in the previous months.
