(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Sunday, Deputy Commander of the Gold Division in Anbar province, Brigadier-General Abdul Amir al-Khazraji, announced that its forces controlled two areas south of the city of Ramadi, noting that those forces are approaching Anbar University.

Kherzja said in an interview for IraqiNews.com: “the Gold Division forces control on the areas al-Tash al-Awal and al-Tash al-Tani south of the city of Ramadi,” indicating that, “the morale of the fighters is very high and  they are close to the University of Anbar now.”

Khazraji added that “The Gold Division inflicted upon ISIS heavy losses in lives and equipment,” pointing that, “the organization left behind the bodies of its dead and its equipment in the streets.”

It is noteworthy that the Gold Division managed to liberate al-Tash area from ISIS south of the city of Ramadi, killing 27 elements of the organization.
