Gunmen attack army patrol south of Baghdad, 2 soldier wounded

( Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi police said on Saturday, that two soldiers had been injured in a militant attack that took place in the area of Arab Jabour south of Baghdad.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said in a statement received by, “This evening, unidentified militants attacked a patrol belonging to the army in the area of Arab Jabour and opened their fire against its elements, resulting in the injury of two soldiers,” pointing out that, “A security force cordoned off the area of the incident and transferred the injured to a nearby hospital.”
