Gunmen in military uniforms rob $1.5 million from bank in central Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, a source within the Iraqi police announced that gunmen in military uniforms robbed about a million and half a million dollars from an agent in a bank in central Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “An armed group in military uniforms and riding two Monica vehicles robed this afternoon an agent in a bank and stole his car on the Muhammad Qasim road in central Baghdad,” noting that, “There was a million and 460 dollars inside the car.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added, “The security forces found the victim’s car near the industrial club in the center of the capital, but they did not find the amount of money mentioned above.”
