Hilla blast casualties up to 2 deaths, 20 wounded

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: Casualties from Thursday’s earlier blast that rocked the grand Hilla souk (market) rose to two deaths and 20 wounded, a source from Babel police said. “The deaths from the blast rose to two and the wounded to 20 after the wounded were rushed to the city hospital,” the source told Iraqi News. Earlier, a Babel police source had told Aswat al-Iraq that two improvised explosive devices hidden in a cargo cart went off consecutively in Hilla’s grand souk , leaving six people wounded within an initial count of casualties. “The policemen cordoned off the area while ambulances rushed the wounded to a nearby hospital,” he said.
