IA liberates villages in Tuz-Khurmatu without resistance

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Defense announced Wednesday, that the Iraqi security forces have managed to take back a number of villages in Tuz-Khurmatu district from ISIS militants without any resistance.

The ministry said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews, “A force from the 9th Division, with support from al-Hashed al-Sha’bi fighters have managed to liberate a number of villages in Tuz-Khurmatu district, located in Salahuddin province,” pointing out that, “The villages were fully liberated from the ISIS group militants almost without any resistance.”

“Many of the displaced families have been resided in the liberated areas,” the statement also added.
