IA Soldier, gunman killed in Mosul

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) An Iraqi Army soldier and a gunman were killed due to armed clashes in western Mosul.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com on Tuesday that ”The gunman opened fire attacking an Iraqi Army checkpoint, killing one of the elements of the check point positioned in Tanak neighborhood of western Mosul, the capital of Nineveh province.”

The source added “The gunman escaped after implementing the attack but an Army force chased the gunman and killed him.”
