(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – A police source in Salahuddin informed on Saturday that three policemen were killed in an explosion of an improvised explosive device east of Tikrit.

According to information shared by the source it was mentioned, that, “An improvised explosive device exploded before noon today. The blast was targeted on the patrol of Salahuddin police’s 11th emergency brigade while it was passing through al-Abyad Road in Hamrin mountains. The blast was so powerful that it killed three policemen on the spot.”

Adding further the source said, “The patrol was rescuing those families who were escaping from several areas of northern and southern of Kirkuk.”
