Iraq hangs 2 terrorism suspects, sends third to life: judiciary

Dhi Qar ( An Iraqi court sentenced two suspects to death, and a third one to life in prison, for terrorism-related crimes in Baghdad, Dhi Qar and Diyala provinces.

Spokesperson of the High Judicial Council, Abdul-Sattar Beyraqdar, said in a statement, said the criminal court in Dhi Qar province sentenced one of the pair to death, finding him guilty of practicing forced deportation and arson in Baghdad back in 2006.

Another defendant, the spokesperson said, was found guilty of blowing up two booby-trapped cars in Dhi Qar in 2013, leaving casualties.

A third defendant, who was sentenced to life, was found guilty of  blowing a house with an IED, and carrying out an armed attack on another one in 2006 in Diyala.
