Iraq prepares to receive US F 16 fighter jets this summer

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Iraqi defense minister ,Khalid al-Obeidi visited on Wednesday Balad air base to check the ongoing construction and modernization work , before receiving the American batch of F 16 fighter jets during the current summer.
Obeidi said during a visit to the second largest air base in Iraq, near the town of Balad, north of Baghdad, “The construction work will be completed before sending the batch of F 16 fighter jets by the United States this summer.
Iraqi pilots receive training on this aircrafts in a US air base in Arizona.
