Iraq thanks Real Madrid and invites its chairman to visit Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Monday the Iraqi Ambassador to Spain, Alaa al-Hashemi, expressed his country thanks to Real Madrid club after dedicating the club’s Champions League victory to the Iraqi fans who were killed in an ISIS massacre earlier this month.
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry said in a statement received IraqiNews.com, “The Iraqi Ambassador to Spain, Alaa al-Hashimi, contacted the President of Real Madrid club, Florentino Perez, to express Iraq’s gratitude for the club, after dedicating the club’s Champions League victory to the families of the club’s Iraqi fans who were killed in al-Balad District bombing.”
The statement added, “Hashimi invited the Chairman of Real Madrid club Florentino Perez to visit Iraq.”
