(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Monday, a source in the Joint Special Operations Command announced, that the Anti-Terrorism forces have imposed its full control over Barwana city.

The source said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “Today, the Anti-Terrorism forces were able to retake Barwana city west of al-Anbar, while managed to kill all members of ISIS who have entered the city.”

Earlier this week, Parliamentary Committee on Security and Defense called the security forces to secure its defense lines, while the Joint Special Operations Command pointed out that ISIS took advantage of the bad weather to attack the military units.

Noteworthy, official journalists with the Ministry of Defense announced, that dozens of ISIS elements were killed, while their vehicles were destructed in a bombardment carried out by the Army’s Aviation in Barwana city western Anbar.
