 Iraqi army destroys key ISIS held bridge on Euphrates River in Anbar

(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – On Wednesday, Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced, that the army forces had managed to destroy a strategic bridge belonging to ISIS on the Euphrates River.

The ministry said in a statement on its website followed by IraqiNews.com, “The army’s 8th brigade, with support from the Iraqi Air Force, managed to destroy a key bridge that was set up by ISIS militants over the Euphrates River between the areas of al-Malhama and al-Saqlawiya.”

The areas of al-Malhama and al-Saqlawiya are both located north of Fallujah in Anbar Province.
