Iraqi army forces retake strategic road in Samarra District

(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced, that Samarra Operations forces managed to liberate the strategic road of al-Khazimy Area in Samarra District.
The ministry said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “A joint force from Samarra Operations Command and the Military Engineering Force conducted a search and inspection operation in Samarra District,” noting that, “The operation resulted in cleansing the road of al-Khazimy Area from the explosive devices up to 2 kilometers towards the area of al-Lain.”
The statement added, “A force belonging to Samarra Operations also found a booby-trapped house in the area of Watban,” pointing out that, “It was treated without any human casualties.”
