 Iraqi army repels violent attack, kills key ISIS leader, south of Fallujah

(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – On Monday, a security source in Anbar province said, that a senior ISIS leader was killed during violent clashes in south of Fallujah.

The source told IraqiNews.com, “A force belonging to the the Rapid Intervention Forces had managed to repel an ISIS attack on the army sites in south of Fallujah,” adding that, “Violent clashes between the two sides resulted in killing the key ISIS leader Abu Sarah al-Obeidi.”

“Security forces were able to destroy two vehicles that had carried heavy weapons, while killed everyone inside them and forced the rest of the militants to withdraw,” the source added.
