(IraqiNews.com) Erbil – A security source announced on Monday, that the Iraqi army managed to retake one of the villages from the ISIS grip southwest of Makhmur, while pointed out to the killing of many ISIS members.

The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “Today the Iraqi army forces launches an attack on Kabrouk village southwest of Makhmur,” pointing out that, “The Peshmerga forces and coalition aircraft backed the Iraqi army.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added, “The army forces entered the village, while ISIS militants escaped toward al-Khalidiyah village.”
