Over 400 Iraqi captives freed, 70 ISIS militants arrested in Jurf Al-Sakhar

Babel (IraqiNews.com) On Monday, Babel Operations Command announced that the security forces in northern Babel have managed to detain 70 elements of ISIS in Jurf Al-Sakhar.

The military spokesman in Babel informed IraqiNews.com: “In the early hours of the morning, the army units accompanied by armed volunteers managed to free 400 Iraqi families kept by ISIS, and arrest 70 ISIS elements in Jurf Al-Sakhar.”

Noteworthy, Iraqi PM Haidar Al-Abadi has said that liberating Jurf Al-Sakhar is a key to liberate all the occupied areas in Iraq, noting that the military operation in the district was a knockout to ISIS.
