Iraqi forces kill 27 ISIS militants, free two areas near Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, a security source in Salahuddin province said, that the security forces regained control over two areas after clashes with ISIS militants near the southern of Tikrit.

The source, who requested anonymity, told IraqiNews, “The security forces accompanied with armed volunteers have managed to liberate Albu-Harin area of southern Yathrib and al-Tarisha area of eastern al-Mutasim,” pointing out that, “The operation also resulted in killing 27 militants and removing 40 explosives planted on the side of the roads.”

Noteworthy, clashes between Iraqi forces and the ISIS group militants in Salahuddin province are constantly taking place in and around the areas of Tikrit, Samarra, Biji, Yathrib, Balad and al-Daluwiya.
