 Iraqi forces liberate 3 villages in southern Kirkuk

Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) On Monday, a security source in Kirkuk province said, that the paramilitary Kurdish Peshmerga forces have gained control over three villages in southern Kirkuk.

The source informed IraqiNews, “The Peshmerga forces have managed to liberate the villages of Khaled, Saad and al-Wehda in the district of Daquq, located 35 km south of Kirkuk,” pointing out that, “These forces are now in the centre of the villages, working to remove the explosives that ISIS militants planted in the area.”

“The Peshmgera forces are chasing the ISIS militants who have fled to the surrounding villages,” the source added.
